The Powerball jackpot for Monday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $220 million with a cash option of $98.4 million. The excitement is building as players across the country eagerly await the results.
Details of the Drawing
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the conclusion of the drawing.
No one across the country hit Saturday’s $206 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold. However, in New Jersey, a lucky winner bought a $50,000, third-prize ticket using the Jackpocket app. It matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 26, 32, 43, 54 and 56. The Powerball draw was 24 with a Power Play of 2x. In addition, no one won the secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing Saturday. Those winning numbers were: 12, 25, 63, 65 and 66. The Double Play number drawn was 14.
Odds of Winning
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.
