According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, Sony has cancelled two unannounced live service PlayStation games developed by Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games. It is believed that one of the cancelled games was a God of War title.

Sony confirmed the cancellation of the games following a recent review but assured that Bend and Bluepoint Studios will not be shut down as a result. Both studios are valued members of the PlayStation Studios family.

Bend Studio's last release was 2019's Days Gone, which received mixed reviews. The studio recently posted a job listing for a lead project manager with experience in developing AAA live service games.

PlayStation acquired Bluepoint in September 2021, and the studio's last release was a remake of Demon's Souls for PS5. Bluepoint also provided support during the development of God of War Ragnarok.

Last year, Sony experienced both success and failure with live service games. Helldivers 2 sold 12 million copies in its first 12 weeks, while Concord was pulled from sale and taken offline just two weeks after release.
