On Saturday at 3:07 a.m. EST a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 7 p.m. EST until Sunday 7 a.m. EST for Alger and Luce counties.

The weather service comments, "Total snow accumulations up to 6 inches, highest north of M-28 east of Grand Marais. Less than 2 inches expected to the south and west of Munising. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph."

"Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling."
