The race for control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court drew more spending and national attention compared to the races for voter ID law enshrinement and the state Department of Public Instruction. The voter ID law will now be enshrined in the state constitution, making it more difficult for future legislatures to change. The race for state education leader pits incumbent Jill Underly, supported by Democrats and the teachers union, against Brittany Kinser, a supporter of private school vouchers endorsed by Republicans.
