Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife during a burglary attempt at his house in Bandra and is currently under surgery, his family said, as they urged fans to be patient. Saif Ali Khan’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their kids Jeh and Taimur are safe, the statement added as the investigation on the attack has began.
The statement read, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khans residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.”
Mumbai Police officer Daya Nayak, an encounter specialist, was spotted at Saif Ali Khan’s house, along with an entire team of crime branch officials. He refused to comment on the matter.
Who is Daya Nayak?
Daya Nayak is a Mumbai Police officer often referred to as an ‘encounter specialist’. He joined the force as a trainee in 1995 and was posted to the Juhu police station in 1996. Daya Nayak has reportedly eliminated over 80 criminals in encounters and currently serves the Mumbai Police Crime Branch.
