Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Bandra residence at around 2:30 am on Thursday. The severity of the attack had the star suffer at least two deep stab wounds, with one being close to the spine.
Amid all of this, a lingering question remained as to how the attacker managed to bypass security and reach so close to Khan. A CCTV footage analysis has now disclosed major updates in this regard.
As per online and national media reports, police investigated the CCTV footage of Saif Ali Khan's residence and noted that no intruder was spotted entering the actor's residence even 2 hours before the attack. Among all the faces scanned by the cameras, no unfamiliarity was unnoticed, and everyone else on the property had authorization to enter. Major concerns regarding a possible insider attack on Saif are currently being probed into by authorities.
Statements from the actor's media handles maintained that he was injured in an attempted robbery case. Other reports also mentioned that an unidentified intruder had barged into his residence and begun an altercation with one of his maids while he was asleep. Upon noticing the commotion, Saif Ali Khan reportedly tried to apprehend the intruder in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. Unfortunately, matters turned violent, and he was stabbed six times in the process.
Till the latest reports, he is currently undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre. Meanwhile, the police are actively probing all angles, detaining three people employed in his home for interrogation.
