Well, this was a very tricky Wordle! ANIME gave me 2 yellow boxes and I had just 44 words remaining, but I just had the worst time finding a green box. MAYOR rearranged things into more yellow. SCRAM cut my remaining words down to 2, but still no green boxes! All I could come up with at this point was UMBRA, but that wasn’t it, either. Finally, I had one green box and only one word remaining to choose from: RUMBA for the win. At last!

Competitive Wordle Score:

Today's Wordle Score: -2

Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.

Today's Wordle Etymology:

The word rumba comes from Spanish, originally meaning "party" or "spree." It likely derives from the verb rumbear (to party, to have fun), which itself may stem from the Spanish word rumbo (meaning "course" or "direction," but also connoting festivity). The term was adopted in Cuba in the late 19th century to describe a style of Afro-Cuban music and dance influenced by African rhythms and Spanish traditions.
