IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi have released a joint notification informing candidates about the change in exam centre of GATE 2025 and JAM 2025 exams scheduled in Prayagraj on February 1 and 2, 2025. The decision to shift the exam centres to Lucknow was made due to the Mahakumbh event taking place in Prayagraj during the same dates.
The GATE organising institute, IIT Roorkee, and JAM organising institute, IIT Delhi, stated, “Representations have been received from several candidates expressing their difficulty in reaching the examination centres in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, because of the huge congregation of devotees expected in the Mahakumbh on February 1 and 2, 2025."
The old centres in Prayagraj and their corresponding new centres in Lucknow with centre codes and addresses are as follows:
- GATE-2025 Prayagraj Centres changed to GATE-2025 Lucknow Centres
- JAM-2025 Prayagraj Centres changed to JAM-2025 Lucknow Centres
The GATE and JAM admit cards have been freshly released for the new centres mentioned above. Candidates are advised to download the updated admit cards from the GOAPS portal for GATE-2025 and JOAPS Portal for JAM-2025. It is crucial for candidates to ensure that the new test centre details are accurate on the updated admit cards.
