West Makes Surprise Appearance to Support Fellow Rapper
Kanye West shocked onlookers by making a quick appearance at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial on Friday to show support for the fellow rapper. West, 48, arrived at Manhattan federal court wearing an all-white denim ensemble, accompanied by Combs’ son Christian “King” Combs.
Completing his outfit with black sunglasses, West stopped to greet a fan before heading into the court. When asked if he was there to support Diddy, West nodded in confirmation but did not disclose whether he would testify on Diddy's behalf.
West was not permitted in the main courtroom as his name was not on the list of approved guests. Instead, he watched the trial on a TV screen in an overflow room on the 23rd floor. After spending about 45 minutes at the trial, West left the building with King and security guards.
West's wife, Bianca Censori, did not accompany him, despite being in New York. His representative did not respond to requests for comment. Sources revealed that West had planned to attend the trial with the Combs family, as they are collaborating on music together.
West has publicly supported Diddy since the latter's arrest in September 2024 on sex trafficking and other charges. West advocated for Diddy's release in February and even released a song featuring Diddy and King, which caused controversy with Kim Kardashian.
