Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has sparked controversy with his recent remarks on the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Rane raised suspicions about whether the attack on Khan was real or if he was just acting.
Speaking at a public gathering in Pune, Rane expressed his doubts about the incident, stating, "I doubted whether he had been stabbed or he was acting. Look at what Bangladeshis are doing in Mumbai. They entered Saif Ali Khan’s house. Maybe he came to take him (Saif) away. It is good, garbage should be taken away."
Rane also targeted NCP (SP) leaders Supriya Sule and Jitendra Awhad, accusing them of showing concern only for Khan and not for Hindu actors. He questioned why there was no similar outrage when Hindu actors like Sushant Singh Rajput faced trouble.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam also questioned the nature of the attack on Saif and called for his family to disclose details of the incident. However, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar dismissed these remarks, stating that the police had already revealed the truth in the case.
Last week, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder who entered his home with the intent to commit theft. After a confrontation, Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine and other body parts. He underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital and was discharged a few days later.
Despite the controversy surrounding the incident, Saif appeared healthy as he returned home and greeted the media with a smile.
