The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards are finally here. Postponed from Jan. 17 due to the Los Angeles wildfires, the announcement of this year’s crop of Oscar nominees will take place on Thursday at 5:30 a.m. PT/8:30 a.m. ET. Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang will unveil the nominations live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater; the announcement will stream on Oscar.com, Oscars.org and the Academy’s digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook).
Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2. As Steve Pond noted in his final Oscar predictions, this year’s awards season has yielded one of the most wide-open races in years.
