The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $331 million with a cash option of $147.5 million.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 14, 31, 35, 64 and 69. The Powerball drawn was 23, with a Power Play of 2X.
While no one across the country hit Wednesday’s $305 million jackpot, a second-prize, $1 million ticket was purchased in Ohio. It matched five numbers but not the Powerball.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 8, 41, 52, 53 and 58. The Powerball drawn was 7 with a Power Play of 3X.
In New Jersey, no one won more than $100 with a single ticket.
In addition, no one won Wednesday’s secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing. Those winning numbers were: 11, 15, 25, 51 and 54. The Double Play number drawn was 15.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
