Family Drama Unfolds as Actor Opens Up About Intimate Ceremony
Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony on February 14, 2025, at the late Smita Patil's house in Mumbai. Surrounded by close family and friends, the couple celebrated their special day.
However, the absence of Raj Babbar, Arya Babbar, and Juhi Babbar at the wedding stirred controversy on social media. Prateik has now shed light on why he made the decision not to invite his father and family.
Speaking to Zoom, Prateik explained, "My father's wife and my mother had complications in the past. It didn't feel right to have them at the house where my mother wanted me to grow up." The actor emphasized the importance of respecting his late mother's wishes.
Prateik expressed regret that his father and stepmother couldn't be part of the celebration. He emphasized that the decision was made out of respect for his mother's memory and the life she envisioned for him.
Despite the family drama, Prateik stands by his choice and remains firm in his decision. He acknowledged that while things could have been handled differently, he believes he made the best decision for himself and his wife.
