On January 30, 2025, Prayagraj will host the second Amrit Snan (holy bath) during the ongoing Kumbh Mela, coinciding with the Makar Sankranti Amavasya (New Moon). It is expected that over 10 crore devotees will gather for this significant event.
Today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Prayagraj, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, to take part in the sacred rituals. They will both bathe at the Sangam, meet important spiritual leaders, and visit key religious sites like the Akshay Vat.
The security arrangements have been tightened, with the area being declared a "No Vehicle Zone" to manage the crowd. Pilgrims are traveling from all over the country, and many are praising the smooth and organized arrangements.
Despite the large crowds, devotees are full of devotion and are able to participate in the rituals with ease. This grand event showcases India's strength in managing large-scale spiritual gatherings.
