Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have now requested paparazzi and media outlets to avoid photographing their children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan. In a statement released through their representatives, the star couple requested the paparazzi to not stand below their residence and click them while they are leaving or coming back. Saif and Kareena asked paps not to click Taimur and Jahangir anywhere – whether it’s at a garden or at a birthday party or at some sports center. However, the Bollywood stars permitted the photogs to click them if they are attending any event.
Kareena Kapoor’s team held a meeting with the Mumbai paparazzi on Tuesday to convey this.
This statement comes days after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by a robber at his Bandra residence on January 16, 2025. The actor, in an attempt to save his family and staff, fought him back and suffered deep injuries. He was rushed to the Lilavati hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries. Saif was discharged from the hospital on January 21.
It was Jeh’s nanny, Eliyamma Philip, who had first spotted the intruder and raised an alarm. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have arrested the attacker, Bangladeshi resident Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, 30. Explaining how the accused managed to enter the house where the Khan family live with their children and domestic staff, an official had said earlier, “He entered the duct area, climbed to the 12th floor using a pipe and entered the actor’s flat through a bathroom window. He then came out from the bathroom, where the actor’s staff spotted him, leading to the chain of events that culminated into the knife attack.”
On Monday, the cops also conducted a search operation in West Bengal’s Nadia district and arrested a woman in connection with the case. “We have strong evidence to prove that the accused hails from Bangladesh and stayed in Kolkata before entering Mumbai. The face recognition test is underway to match his identity with the CCTV footage,” said the cop.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan has employed the services of actor Ronit Roy’s security firm.
