In a disturbing incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, during an attempted burglary. The attack occurred in the early hours of January 16, 2025, leaving Khan with six stab wounds, one of which was dangerously close to his spine. Currently, he is receiving medical care at Lilavati Hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring his condition.
In response to this alarming incident, as per IANS on X, the Mumbai Police have formed seven teams to investigate the attack thoroughly. They are reviewing CCTV footage from the building to track the intruder's movements and as seen in a post by ANI on X, they have also brought in sniffer dogs for assistance.
The attack took place at the 'Satguru Sharan' building, where Saif Ali Khan and his wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, reside. Reports indicate that the intruder broke into their home around 2:30 AM while Khan was asleep. Upon hearing suspicious noises, Khan confronted the intruder after a brief altercation with his maid. This confrontation escalated into violence when the assailant attacked him with a knife. A statement from Saif's team confirmed that he is currently undergoing surgery and requested patience from fans and media as the situation unfolds.
The news of Saif Ali Khan's attack has shocked many in the industry. His co-star from 'Devara', Jr NTR, expressed his dismay on social media, stating, “Shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif sir. Wishing and praying for his speedy recovery and good health”.
