ForbesNYT ‘Strands’ Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Sunday, February 23rdBy Erik Kain

Monday has returned. The day of the moon. A day designed for middle managers and werewolves and little roadside diners. A day, I should add, that is particularly well-suited for puzzle-solving. We should uncover some words in today’s Strands puzzle!

Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Spoilers ahead.

Today’s Strands Breakdown

Today, I found a few words really quickly and then struggled more at the end. I snagged WADDLE, STRUT and SHUFFLE right off the bat, then worked my way backward once I saw the ‘ING’ and then ‘MOVING’ and eventually pieced together the spangram, GETMOVING. STROLL came next followed by TIPTOE, though that took a minute. It was the final two words in the bottom right corner that I had the most trouble with: SKIP, despite being so short, got lost in the letters for MOSEY. But I got it eventually!
