Valeria Márquez, a 23-year-old model and beauty influencer, was speaking to a delivery man off camera when she was shot in the chest and head, collapsing and dying instantly. The incident took place in Zapopan, on the outskirts of Guadalajara.
Just hours later, former PRI party congressman Luis Armando Córdova Díaz was also shot dead in a cafe in the same area. The New Generation Jalisco Cartel is suspected to be behind the violence.
