Indian Consulate in New York Offers Condolences

Two Indian students from Cleveland State University tragically lost their lives in a road accident in New York, as confirmed by the Indian Consulate in New York. The students, identified as Manav Patel and Saurav Prabhakar, were involved in the unfortunate incident.

According to news agency PTI, the fatal accident occurred on May 10 in Pennsylvania. The car carrying both students crashed into a tree and struck a bridge, resulting in the untimely death of both individuals. Another passenger in the front seat sustained injuries and was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Indian Consulate in New York expressed deep sorrow over the incident and stated that it is providing all necessary support to the families of the deceased students. "Our thoughts and prayers are with their families during this difficult time," the Consulate mentioned in a social media post.

The Lancaster County coroner’s office and Pennsylvania state police, as quoted by PTI, indicated that Prabhakar was driving the vehicle when the accident took place. Both students succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries at the scene of the crash.
