Holder Jannik Sinner looks to successfully defend his crown when he takes on challenger Alexander Zverev in the final of the Australia Open 2025 on Sunday at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
The young Italian, Sinner, eyes this third major title to add to his collection of the AO crown from last season and the US Open title, while Zverev will seek his first ever Grand Slam title after having come close only to end up falling at the final hurdle twice in his career thus far.
Zverev ended runner-up at the US Open back in the year 2020 and came out second best yet again at the 2024 edition of the French Open at the Roland Garros. After an unenviable finals record, the German will look to bag his maiden title.
