OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – A 34-year-old man faces two felony charges for allegedly stabbing a Michigan caseworker multiple times.
Gul Nabi Rahmati, of Dearborn Heights, is charged with attempted murder and felonious assault for the alleged attack on Zubair Mansuori.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Oakland County Department of Health and Human Services office in Pontiac. According to witnesses, Rahmati entered the office and approached Mansuori before pulling out a knife and stabbing him repeatedly.
Mansuori was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition. Rahmati was apprehended at the scene by law enforcement officers and is currently in custody awaiting trial.
The motive behind the attack is still under investigation, with authorities looking into any possible prior interactions between Rahmati and Mansuori.
