The top 10 list of the most expensive Greek players has been published by Transfermarkt, with Vangelis Pavlidis leading the race.
Vangelis Pavlidis, despite his value declining in the international football market, remains the most expensive Greek player with 23 million euros.
In May 2024, the Benfica striker had a value of 25 million euros, according to the specialized website Transfermarkt, a figure he reached twice during his tenure at Alkmaar.
Behind him, with 20 million euros, are Kostas Tsimikas (Liverpool), who was valued at 22 million euros until May 27, 2024, and Konstantinos Mavropanos.
A significant rise was seen by the Brugge striker, Christos Tzolis, climbing from 12 million euros on October 2, 2024, to 18 million euros, the same as Fotis Ioannidis.
However, the most impressive increase is recorded by Stefanos Tzimas, on loan from PAOK to Nuremberg, reaching 10 million euros from 1.8 million euros on May 30, 2024.
Also worth noting is the surge of Olympiacos's two youngsters, Christos Mouzakitis and Charalampos Kostoulas, both now valued at 3 million euros, when the former was valued at 450,000 euros and the latter at 600,000 euros on September 26.
