WARANGAL (Hanamkonda): In a shocking incident near Adalat Circle along the Hyderabad-Warangal National Highway in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, a dispute between two autorickshaw drivers turned deadly, resulting in the murder of one of them.

The deceased, identified as Macharla Rajkumar (45), a resident of Madikonda, was stabbed to death by his friend and fellow autorickshaw driver, Anugu Venkateshwarlu (47), from Aithapur village. Police revealed that the dispute stemmed from an alleged extramarital affair both men had with the same woman from Bollikunta in Warangal city.

Venkateshwarlu confronted Rajkumar, who was waiting for passengers in his vehicle, and a heated argument escalated into violence. Armed with a knife, Venkateshwarlu stabbed Rajkumar nearly 15 times in the stomach and neck, killing him on the spot.

Bystanders’ inaction during the attack shocked many, as several witnesses filmed the gruesome incident on their phones rather than intervening to stop the assault.

After the attack, Venkateshwarlu tried to flee but was caught by police with the help of locals. Rajkumar’s body was taken to MGM Hospital for a post-mortem, and a case has been registered as the investigation continues. Rajkumar is survived by his wife and two children.
