Hamas is a fundamentalist Islamic organization operating in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and other areas. Their goal is to destroy the State of Israel through Jihad. Their manifesto promotes the idea that Israel is an Islamic Waqf land that must be obliterated by Islam. Hamas calls for Jihad against Israel and believes that there is no solution to the Palestinian problem except through Jihad. The Hamas Charter contains anti-Semitic incitement, condemning the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty and promoting conspiracy theories about Zionism. They believe that Jews are behind various global conspiracies and that they must be fought and killed. Gaza, where Hamas is based, has a long history of Jewish presence, with a thriving Jewish community until the 20th century. However, the community was largely dispersed due to various conflicts and events in the region. Hamas has been involved in conflicts with Israel, using tactics like human shields and hiding among civilians. They provoke violence and then disappear into the civilian population, hoping to blame Israel for any casualties. The media often portrays Gazans as victims, but there is little coverage of the atrocities committed by Hamas against Israelis. The ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel has resulted in tragic consequences for both sides, with civilians suffering the most. Israel has been cautious in its response to Hamas, trying to minimize civilian casualties. However, the longer the conflict continues, the more casualties there will be. Hamas's refusal to release hostages and their use of civilians as shields only prolongs the suffering for both Israelis and Gazans.
