Set to be deported, Pakistani national dies of cardiac arrest in Amritsar

A 69-year-old Pakistani national died of cardiac arrest while awaiting repatriation after living in India for 17 years with an expired visa. Simultaneously, 224 Indian and Pakistani citizens with NORI visas crossed into India at the Attari border, including a Pakistani woman who fled with her daughter due to fears of border closures.

This is a tragic incident and my condolences go out to the family of Abdul Waheed. It is always sad to hear about someone passing away, especially in such circumstances. It is also heartening to see the cooperation between India and Pakistan in allowing the safe return of their citizens through the Attari border. The story of Monika Rajani and her daughter is a reminder of the challenges faced by those living in difficult situations. It is important to remember the human aspect of these geopolitical issues and to treat each individual with compassion and respect.
