Research highlights the correlation between screen time and mental well-being
A recent study conducted by psychologists at a leading university has shed light on the effects of technology on mental health. The research, which analyzed the screen time of over 1000 participants, found a significant correlation between excessive device usage and symptoms of anxiety and depression.
The study's findings suggest that prolonged exposure to screens, such as smartphones, tablets, and computers, can have a detrimental impact on mental well-being. Participants who reported spending more than 4 hours per day on their devices were more likely to experience feelings of loneliness and low self-esteem.
