Research reveals the positive impact of physical activity on mental well-being
A recent study published in the Journal of Psychiatry and Mental Health has shed light on the benefits of regular exercise for mental health. The research, conducted over a span of two years, found that individuals who engaged in physical activity at least three times a week experienced a significant improvement in their overall mental well-being.
The study, which involved over 1000 participants, showed that exercise not only reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression but also helped boost self-esteem and confidence. The researchers believe that the positive effects of physical activity on mental health are due to the release of endorphins, also known as "feel-good" hormones, during exercise.
