Authorities on High Alert Following Security Threat
The Maharashtra Police Control Room received an anonymous email on Tuesday, warning of a potential blast within the next two days. The sender did not specify the location or timing but urged the authorities not to ignore the threat.
The email has since been forwarded to the Mumbai Police, who are currently conducting an investigation into the matter and working to trace the sender.
This alarming development comes amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack. Security has been increased across major cities in the country, with several flights also experiencing disruptions.
During a meeting with senior officers of the armed forces and other key agencies, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the state government will ensure effective coordination with the armed forces. Discussions focused on the exchange of intelligence data, the use of technology, and the implementation of precautionary measures.
The talks also involved the establishment of a coordination mechanism for cooperation between security agencies and the government to enhance preparedness in the face of potential threats.
