An ex-serviceman and his wife were injured in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday, officials said.
Sources said three family members were fired upon at Behibagh village of south Kashmir's Kulgam district by unidentified gunmen.
The terrorists fired at Manzoor Ahmad Wagay and his wife in the Behibagh area of the district, they said, adding that the injured couple has been rushed to hospital.
A police official told The Tribune that while the retired jawan identified as Manzoor Ahmad Wagay was hit in abdomen, his wife and daughter suffered injuries in legs. They were immediately shifted to the hospital, where sources said Wagay succumbed to injuries.
Soon after the incident, joint forces launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers.
