Jonathan Dekel-Chen, the father of Sagui Dekel-Chen, expressed relief and gratitude upon hearing the news that his son is expected to be released as part of the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. Jonathan described the moment he received the news as a mix of joy and disbelief. "It's been a challenging time for our family, not knowing if Sagui was safe or when we would see him again," he said. "We are hopeful that this ceasefire agreement will bring him back home to us soon."

The Biden administration has been working tirelessly to secure the release of all Israeli-Americans held captive by Hamas. Sagui Dekel-Chen is just one of the many individuals whose lives have been affected by the ongoing conflict in the region. His father's plea for peace and reunification resonates with many others who are eagerly awaiting the return of their loved ones.

"Our hearts go out to all the families who are still waiting for their children to come home. We pray for a swift and safe resolution to this crisis," Jonathan Dekel-Chen stated.

As the ceasefire takes effect and negotiations continue, there is renewed hope for the release of all hostages and a lasting peace in the region. The Dekel-Chen family remains optimistic about the future and looks forward to welcoming Sagui back into their arms.
