India is all set to display its military prowess and rich cultural heritage during the 76th Republic Day celebrations on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the enactment of India’s Constitution, with the theme of the tableaux being "Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas" (Golden India: Heritage and Development).

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will be the chief guest at the event, making him the fourth Indonesian president to participate in India's Republic Day celebrations. A 352-member marching and band contingent from Indonesia will be part of Subianto’s delegation, adding a special touch to the celebrations.

India will showcase a mix of military platforms like the BrahMos missile, Pinaka multi-launcher rocket system, and Akash weapon system for the first time during the parade. The Army's Battle Surveillance System 'Sanjay' and DRDO's surface-to-surface tactical missile 'Pralay' will also be featured, highlighting India's defense capabilities.

The parade will include a tri-services tableau demonstrating joint operations across land, water, and air. The tableau, themed "Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat" (Strong and Secure India), will showcase indigenous platforms like the Arjun Main Battle Tank, Tejas fighter aircraft, and the Advanced Light Helicopter.

President Droupadi Murmu will lead the parade and deliver the nation's address, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial. The event will also see 5,000 cultural artistes performing to showcase unity and diversity through traditional music and instruments.

Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar and Major General Sumit Mehta will command the parade, with Kargil war heroes and award-winning military personnel participating in the event. The Indian Army will display advanced military vehicles and equipment, along with a motorbike display by the daredevils of the Corps of Signals.

Additionally, 31 tableaux representing India's states and Union Territories will be part of the parade, highlighting the country's diversity. The event will conclude with a grand flypast involving 40 Indian Air Force aircraft and three Dornier aircraft of the Indian Coast Guard, making it a historic celebration of India's achievements.
